About Me

Hi, I Am Druscilla Rogers
Am a married mother of four (16,14, 12 and 7) with an initial background of public health and health promotion within which involved various elements and aspects of working with mothers and newborn babies. This was where my love and passion for working with families and their babies started as I spent time working with them through health promotion initiatives in the community. I then later trained as a non medical maternity nurse as my passion and love of caring for babies and children grew stronger.
I would describe myself as a very reliable, kind, and confident and trust worthy individual with a wide range of experience working as a maternity nurse. Am very active indeed and cheerful and love working with babies of all ages singing and playing with them and having walks with them.
I respect family cultures and values and I deal with strict confidentiality with in my role and the families I work with, Dads inclusive. This can involve making sure mother gets ample rest and also help set a good sensible feeding and sleeping routine.
Am very helpful in warding off PND and I have wide experience working with breast feeding mothers; however I understand and respect that not all mothers would like to breast feed so I support all mothers and their preferred method of feeding ; bottle feeding or mixed feeding. I have a wide experience working with reflux babies and I can easily pick up on signs of reflux early on and advise accordingly. I work well picking up other issues like jaundice, meningitis and other related health issues.
I respect that all individuals and babies are different and as such am happy to work with parents who don’t fancy a rigid routine for their babies and as such work well with their chosen plans regarding feeding and sleeping routines.
